Before jumping into this gig "professionally," I contributed fan reviews to Dave's Sega Saturn Page and spouted missives to anyone that came into the #vidgames IRC channel. Hanging out in that channel led me to meet Peter Bartholow, who, in turn, convinced Jeff and James at GameSpot to give me a shot. Soon after, I quit my day job and dove head-first into the wild world of freelance writers.
